About Waln K. Brown: Dr. Waln K Brown grew up in the foster care system, with various placements. As a child Waln experienced living in an a psychiatric hospital, a juvenille reformatory and even an ophanage. Education did not come easy for Waln either, Waln was placed in special education classes and had to repeat the ninth grade. Through it all Waln was able to prevail over his life expereinces. Earned his Ph.D. at the University of Pennsylvania and a post-doctoral fellowship at the University of Chicago.
